New DVD Day 2/14/12!

Its Valentine’s Day!  If you totally forgot about it then I suggest picking up one of these new titles for your partner.  The films just came out today, so you can be sure that she/he doesn’t yet own the disc.  Its a perfect couple night!  And what better way to start this then with the perfect date movie.

Human Centipede II: Full Sequence.

If you two sit down to watch movies, and you’re not asked at least once to turn off the movie, leave this person.  Or marry him/her. You know, depending on what you’re looking for in a relationship.

Doctor Who: The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe.

Not my favorite Doctor Who Christmas special of all time.  But its a really good one.  If your Valentine’s Day lover is also a mother, this would be a very nice episode to share with any mom.  Well, any mom that likes British science fiction shows.

Dragon Age: Redemption.

Yes.  Yes I admit it.  Totally just for Felicia Day.  Name anything that she is in.  I will say that I bought it solely because Felicia Day is in it.  Not even the lead role is necessary.  Just in the movie is enough to make it worth adding to the Felicia Day themed book shelf.

UFC 139 is out.  Fighting.  Blood.  Stuff like that.

I’m not a sports person at all, but even I would consider buying the NBA Best of the Slam Dunk Contest DVD.  Only an hour long.  Looks like the suggested price is $15.  Steep for the length.  I think 10 is the highest I would go on this, if you find it on sale.

Nude Nuns with Big Guns.

On a date when one of the most disturbing movies of all time comes out, why not release some more shocking titles?  This is the name of a movie.  An actual movie with actors and plots and so on.  I’m not into the nun fetish world at all, but this movie might have to cross over into my grindhouse curiosities.

They Came from Outer Space – The Complete Television Series

Some little known syndicated scifi comedy show from the early 1990s.  I have no recollection of it, but based on box art alone its looks like a great “so bad its good” potential addition.

IWA Wrestling Volume 1: Best of the 70s.

Speaking of potential.  Any independent wrestling DVD could be a crap shoot of good and bad matches.  However, time frame and location have me hoping that all the old school action is actually good.
