While reading a story from his favorite series, Pete the Cat, I was taken aback. Could this be a coincidence? Or is this a subtle clever joke that most would ignore but odd people like me spot right away.

It’s a young goat. In a book for children. Who see themselves in the characters. But it’s also a young goat.

I’ve been aware of this joke for weeks now and I’m still laughing as I post this.
