A classic post from 2016 brought back from the dead for this year’s Countdown to Halloween. Click on that link to find other like minded pop culture bloggers talk about this spookiest of seasons.
I know Halloween costumes are meant to be scary. I am well aware that I dressed up as Jason one year when I was too young to watch the Friday the 13th movies. However, Jason and Freddy transferred over from age appropriate to cultural icons. You didn’t have to see the movies to know who they are. I hadn’t seen a full Jason movie until Jason X in the theater and by then I was well over 18.
But some characters don’t become cultural touchstones. Some characters are flat out horror icons only meant for those over 18.
With that in mind behold, Lil’ Pinhead.

If I see this costume on a child this Halloween, I’m putting a business card for CPS in with his treats.
The door. You opened it. We came.
It’s just a Halloween themed doorbell cover!
Oh no. It is a means to summon us.
