WWE Money in the Bank 2020 Predictions.

The most unpredictable pay per view event maybe ever. Tonight in a special version of Money in the Bank, six women and six men will compete for one briefcase each. That case can only be reached by bringing a ladder into the ring and climbing it to retrieve. That ring this time though will be on the roof of the 10 story WWE headquarters. Wrestlers will start in the lobby and have to fight their way through the entire building to obtain the briefcase. Inside is the opportunity to challenge for any World title at any time in the next year. Oh, and this year both the men’s and women’s matches will take place at the the same time.

When I do predictions I try to guess where I think every story is going. Is this the end, the middle, or the beginning? Who is getting elevated, who is getting stopped, and who is staying where they are? These guesses aren’t who I want to win, or should win, but who I think will win.

Jeff Hardy vs Cesaro in a Pre Show match.

Hardy just returned after a month of build up biographies on Smackdown. He’s not losing his first match back.

Winner: Jeff Hardy.

R-Truth vs. MVP.

I have to imagine this takes place in between two bigger matches. A calm down match. MVP is great on the mic and needs some story. I’m hoping he becomes a manager for some younger talent that needs it. I would love to see that happen here. Some one comes out and helps MVP win then they team up. But, I don’t think that’s what’s happening.

Winner: R-Truth.

The New Day (Big E and Kofi Kingston) (Smackdown Tag Team Champions) vs. The Miz and John Morrison vs. The Forgotten Sons (Steve Cutler, Jaxson Ryker, and/or Wesley Blake) vs. Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado).

Three out of four of these teams have three members. I can’t stand the Forgotten Sons for documented reasons. Well, one of them for sure. After Miz and Morrison took the loss to Lucha House Party I think they’re getting that win back. If New Day comes out and their gear is completely colored in, Xavier Woods returns and they retain. But it makes more sense for him to come back to assist or win another tag title reign.

Winners: Miz and Morrison.

Bayley (Smackdown Women’s Champion) vs. Tamina.

Not a chance in hell Dark Side of the Ring airs that Snuka episode and weeks later his daughter wins a title. Plus, all signs point to a larger Bayley vs Sasha Banks feud probably as a highlight of SummerSlam.

Winner: Bayley.

Drew McIntyre (Raw World Champion) vs. Seth Rollins.

Not only did Drew just win the title last month at WrestleMania. He’s also getting more YouTube hits than near anyone else in WWE. He’s money. He’s getting attention. He’s not losing yet.

Winner: Drew McIntyre.

Braun Strowman (Smackdown World Champion) vs. Bray Wyatt.

WWE is very specifically saying it’s Bray and not the Fiend. That means a loss for Bray and this is just part one.

Winner: Braun Strowman.

Women’s Money in the Bank match:

Asuka vs. Shayna Baszler vs. Nia Jax vs. Dana Brooke vs. Lacey Evans vs. Carmella.

Who ever wins could cash in on the Raw, Smackdown, or after this year’s Royal Rumble I have to assume the NXT Women’s title as well. One of the best things in the history of MITB is seeing someone new to the World title scene. I think the winner of the men’s match will be someone who’s been at that level before, thus I’m thinking this will be a new contender. Dana Brooke or Lacey Evans could use a little bit of help to get to that next level. I would love to see Dana get it, but WWE has been behind Lacey from day one. Lacey cashing in on heel back stabbing Sasha Banks after Sasha defeats Bayley could be fun.

Winner: Lacey Evans.

Men’s Money in the Bank match:

Daniel Bryan vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Aleister Black vs. King Corbin vs. Otis vs. AJ Styles.

I hate to say it, but King Corbin has become the best heel in WWE over the last year or two. He’s putting everything together and it’s fun to see a chicken shit heel portrayed by such a huge wrestler. Even though he’s won MITB before he wasn’t ready yet. He will be a champ, it’s inevitable. This could be a great way to make him even more hated and get him to that next level.

Winner: King Corbin.
