As I try to do with every pay per view, I’m going to guess who will win on tonight’s show. These are not who I want to win, but who I think will win based on where I think WWE stories are heading on the Road to WrestleMania. 30 Man Royal Rumble match.

For surprises I could see Damian Priest getting called up. Maybe a Seth Rollins return. I know lots of people see Daniel Bryan winning, and that won’t shock me. I’m guessing Big E gets pushed against Roman Reigns. Looking ahead, if he doesn’t win I see a heel turn coming and he will eventually win the title. I had also previously mentioned Keith Lee as a possible winner but it was announced that his girlfriend Mia Yim tested positive for COVID and that might pull him from the match. If he’s in, he’s my second pick.

30 Woman Royal Rumble match.

For surprises I think it will just be some NXT names, not anyone brand new to the company. This will be Rhea’s official bump to Raw or Smackdown. I also see Candace, Io, and Mercedes showing up. I think the final four will be Bayley, Sasha, Shayna, and in a showcase night Raquel Gonzalez. Bayley will win the Rumble, as it’s about the only thing she hasn’t done yet.

Women’s tag team title match. Asuka and Charlotte Flair (C) vs Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.

There’s something happening with the champions. I’m guessing when they eventually do lose the titles it will lead to Charlotte challenging Asuka for the Raw women’s title at Mania. Some dissension will start tonight, but the break up and loss will happen later. Winners and still champions Asuka and Charlotte.

Raw world title match: Drew McIntyre (c) vs Goldberg.

I don’t see any logic in having Goldberg win and part time carry the title until Mania. It makes more sense to continue Drew’s momentum through to Mania against hopefully a worthy opponent. Winner: Drew.

Smackdown world title match: Roman Reigns (c) vs Kevin Owens.

Again, I don’t see the point in switching the title here. Roman is the biggest star in WWE now and it makes sense to keep the title on him. The face chasing his title and downfall is a bigger story, but I don’t think Kevin is that story. I could see Roman cut promos from here until Mania on Big E calling him a joke. Getting in his head. Winner: Roman.

Added after we discussed matches (you’ll hear tomorrow) Sasha Banks (c) vs Carmella for the Smackdown women’s title.

Carmella has been doing great lately but this seems to have been all about giving Sasha a long reign. Her previous reigns have been so short this seems to be a longer honorary reign for the Boss. Winner: Sasha.

More matches could be announced last minute. Who do you think will win?
