The wrestling weekend continues! I’ve been watching NXT, Effy’s Big Gay Brunch, Joey Janella’s Spring Break, and so much more. Tonight is part one of the “biggest of them all” – WrestleMania! Half the matches tonight, half tomorrow, and two nights of excitement. Plus a very tired Monday. Now it’s time to take a look at who I think will win the matches on Saturday’s card. Again, this isn’t who I want to win but who I think will win and thus further WWE’s stories.
Tonight’s show is rumored to be main evented by Kevin Owens hosting the KO Show with Stone Cold Steve Austin as the special guest. This should not be the main event. I think Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair would make more sense. Even Charlotte Flair vs Ronda Rousey has an argument to go on last. Either way, a match should be last.
Becky Lynch (Raw women’s champion) vs Bianca Belair.
Becky is by far my favorite, but I think it’s time for her to lose the title. Bianca winning and culminating her story on Mania would be a great moment. Becky doesn’t need the title, but also her chasing the title as a heel would be a fresh story for her. I think Becky vs Ronda is a main event for next year’s Mania and that story will start thanks to this one ending.
Charlotte Flair (Smackdown women’s champion) vs Ronda Rousey.
Ronda didn’t come back to not win the title. I think Ronda wins here and holds it through the 2023 WrestleMania, where as mentioned before, she will face Becky.
Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio vs The Miz and Logan Paul.
I really don’t care about this match, but here we are. The Mysterios win and celebrate. Miz blames Logan for the loss. Paul shoves Miz or punches him or something. The crowd cheers Logan and boos the Miz as he pulls himself off the mat.
Drew McIntyre vs Happy Corbin (with Madcap Moss).
This seems like an easy win for Drew, but Corbin has this crazy streak going on. Someone in WWE likes him and is waiting for that moment to give him a main event push and title win. Corbin sneaks away with the victory here and we all feel bad for Drew.
The Usos (Smackdown tag team champions) vs Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs.
I think the Nakamura and Boogs team has run it’s course. Boogs is going to get further as a heel. I really think once given the chance he will thrive and has some natural heel talents waiting to come out. Like the previous tag match, maybe a split happens after the loss. Either way, the Usos win.
The New Day vs Ridge Holland and Sheamus (with Butch).
Ugh, I hate some of these people being brought up before they’re ready while other people are left in the back. I know the Big E injury wasn’t Ridge’s fault. Accidents happen. Still, he’s being rewarded with this match. Against all my personal wishes, Ridge and Sheamus get the win here.
Seth Rollins vs TBD.
Alright, whoever this is will win. The big theory is that it will be a returning Cody Rhodes, which he should get the win to start his WWE return. Part of me wouldn’t be shocked if it’s a swerve and the recently inducted Hall of Famer, the Undertaker, comes out.
Those are my guesses for tonight’s show. The main show starts at 8, pre show at 7. We’ll all be watching it live and I’ll be posting on Twitter.
