We continue the Labor Day wrestling marathon with an afternoon event. WWE’s third brand NXT will absorb the fourth brand NXT UK Sunday at 4PM EST. NXT UK is over and will relaunch next year at NXT Europe. In the meantime the titles will be combined. The world, women’s, and tag team champions for each company will collide to unify their respective titles. Plus some other matches. This will be a very interesting show. NXT became a place for rookies over the last year whereas the UK talent is much more experienced. Yet, they all have a job to do and it doesn’t matter who would win in real life. We’re here to guess who will win to further the stories within NXT. As always, this is not who I want to win or my favorites, but who I think will win to take the Tuesday night show into the future. 

Bron Breakker (NXT champion) vs. Tyler Bate (NXT UK champion).

Bron has already beaten challengers that should have been the ones to exploit his inexperience. If he hasn’t fallen yet I don’t think Tyler is going to be the one. I think Bron keeps this title until WWE decides they want him on Raw or Smackdown. 

Winner: Bron Breakker. 

Mandy Rose (NXT women’s champion) vs. Meiko Satomura (NXT UK women’s champion) vs. Blair Davenport.

Meiko should win. Mandy will win. Blair is only here to take the pinfall so the two champions can still look strong. Mandy pins Blair. Meiko doesn’t take a loss she shouldn’t have to. 

Winner: Mandy Rose. 

Katana Chance and Kayden Carter (NXT women’s tag team champions) vs. Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H.

I really like Chance and Carter. I was so happy to see them finally win these titles. But I think this is too strong of a challenge. And honestly, Doudrop and Nikki need some momentum in their careers. Hopefully this is the first of at least two title changes between the two teams. 

Winners and new champions: Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H. 

The Creed Brothers (Brutus Creed and Julius Creed) (NXT tag team champions) vs. Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs (NXT UK tag team champions) vs. Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) vs. Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson).

NXT UK needs a title win tonight, and this is the only option. But which UK team? Pretty Deadly just had the NXT titles and have previously held the UK ones. Gallus is new on the US scene and I think this would be a good push for them. Creed Brothers will be fine as they get better and better every week. I can see Jensen and Briggs on Smackdown eventually. But for tonight, or rather this afternoon, the United Kingdom finally gets a win. 

Winner and new champions: Gallus. 

Carmelo Hayes (NXT North American champion) vs. Ricochet.

Ricochet isn’t moving down to NXT with a title reign. Most likely some interference will happen here but in the end Carmelo retains the title. I think he gets the pinfall win thanks to Treat Williams but it is possible Ricochet gets the DQ win. 

Winner: Carmelo Hayes. 

This could be a real surprising event and more enjoyable than some fans are expecting. I’m looking forward to it. Although, hopefully it ends maybe around 6:30 so I can take a quick nap before the most likely 5 hour PPV which will culminate the weekend.
